Nursery Class Proposal 

We are exploring the possibility of lowering the age range of our school to include a nursery class for 3 and 4-year-old children, opening September 2027. As part of this process, it is essential that we gather feedback from our school community to understand the level of interest and the childcare needs of local families.
We would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete our Nursery Demand Survey. Your responses will help us determine whether there is sufficient demand for a nursery and will play an important role in shaping any future proposals.

Consultation for Lowering the Age Range

The Board of Trustees at  Talent Education Trust,  has commenced its consultation on lowering the school age range from 4-11 years to 3-11 years, to enable the Nursery to open in September 2025 at the Anglo-Portuguese School of London.

APSOL offers a specialism, providing all children with bilingual education and is ideally located for easy transport access, serving the local and wider school community as APSOL.

By lowering the age range to 3-11 years, we will be responding to parental demand and support our children from an earlier age, providing them with a good foundation before starting primary school.

The Nursery will be form part of the Early Years, and will be located on the Ground Floor in the existing Reception classroom  for children aged 3 years. The proposed Nursery classroom, has been designed to meet the needs of young children, with its own cloakroom and access to a secure outdoor area and will therefore not require any refurbishment.

We would love to hear whether you support this change to the school’s age range, and your reasons, to inform our decision to go ahead with opening a Nursery class in September 2025.

The consultation period starts on Friday 5th July to Thursday 1st August 2024.
