PE & Sports Premium
At APSoL, we are committed to providing all pupils with opportunities to enjoy physical activity, develop their sporting skills and understand the importance of leading a healthy and active lifestyle.
The Primary PE and Sport Premium enables us to enhance our PE and sporting provision and ensure that pupils have access to a broad range of high-quality physical activities. We use this funding to support improvements in teaching and learning, increase participation in physical activity and provide opportunities for pupils to develop their confidence, teamwork and leadership skills.
Our PE and Sport Premium funding supports a range of initiatives, including:
- Developing the quality and range of PE and sporting activities available to pupils.
- Providing opportunities for pupils to participate in competitions, festivals and inter-school sporting events.
- Increasing participation in physical activity and encouraging pupils to adopt healthy, active lifestyles.
- Supporting staff development and sharing good practice in the teaching of PE.
- Providing pupils with opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills through sport.
- Ensuring that pupils have access to a variety of activities that promote enjoyment, confidence and lifelong participation in physical activity.
We regularly evaluate the impact of our PE and Sport Premium spending to ensure that the funding is used effectively and makes a lasting difference to our pupils.
